This documentary is the story of Reginald Myles Ansett – one of Australia’s great aviation pioneers – and the airline which bore his name.
It includes archive footage of some of Ansett’s earliest aircraft including the second hand single-engined Fokker Universal with which he started the airline, through the DC-3, Viscount, DC-6, Sandringham flying boat, F.27 Friendship, Boeing 727, 767, Airbus A320, Boeing 747 and others. There are are rare filmed comments from ‘RM’ himself plus interviews with long-serving Ansett employees, friends, associates and rivals and with his widow, Lady Ansett.
