The greatest test of any vehicle in Australian motorsport is to survive an epic Around Australia Trial. With a reputation born out of the famous Redex Trials of the fifties, Holden, Australia’s own car, has always featured in the forefront of those classic enduros. Never more so than in the 1979 Repco Trial, when motor racing icon, Peter Brock, led home a trio of factory Commodores for a 1-2-3 result against the worlds best competition.
Brock was not so fortunate in the 1995 Mobil 1 Trial, but team mate Ed Ordynski again demonstrated Commodoreâ??s superiority when it counted most.
