See Leo Geoghegan’s Pacer break a wheel in a fierce battle with the new HDT Torana GTR XU-1, go inside some of the top secret workshops as the cars are being race prepared and listen to fascinating interviews with the various competition directors including Harry Firth, Al Turner and John Ellis.
There’s also a special ABC report from 1971 which investigates the growing professionalism of Australian touring car racing and the commercial problems confronting the sport at the time.
The vision is built around the Australian Touring Car Championship meeting at Melbourne’s Sandown Park.
